Met Checkboard Tunic Backpack

The remarkably timeless motif on a 16th-century Inca tunic is recalled on this backpack. The original garment, now in The Met collection, showcases a black-and-white checkerboard design with a red “V”-shaped yoke around the neck and shoulders, which is alluded to in the ruby-red accents on our bag. Cloth was of profound importance in Inca culture, and we’ve emphasized its significance in this backpack made with a special cotton-canvas material.
