Met Statue Bear

Our signature Money bear backpack enjoys a Met makeover courtesy of Sprayground. Evocative of an ancient sculpture, this bear-shaped backpack features the likeness of a Macedonian coin (336–323 BCE) forged in the name of Alexander the Great and now in the Museum’s Greek and Roman Art collection. The original gold coin showcases the head of Athena on one side and Nike on the other, both goddesses who were associated with victory in war.
